It's a windy day Watching Eraserhead To the loudest of whistles and howls As a fog surrounds And the windows shake It lends loneliness a new sound In my head and around Here come gusts of one hundred During strongest gales I dread structure fail I'll check in When the storm ends If it doesn't blow me away Blow me away C35 you around? You've reached me on low It's been slow On this mountaintop slope Witnessing days go And it's stretching out The helipads slanted in the sun If a gust knocked me down This would be my last performance In a few more days I'll make my escape I'm trying to beat the snow home It feels so far away

I was stationed at Compton ridge Maybe miles from anyone, back in 61 And I wouldn’t likely see Anyone before the falling leaves Well one night in high country In the freezing fog I went to sleep And I woke up To my dog stirring Then I saw beyond the jagged rocks A tall shadow was hovering mysteriously An eerie sight Gradually The strange figure came close enough to see A long bearded Skeletor, was a now a few steps from the cabin door I just froze for eternity Nothing but the sound of wind in the chimney Was it a ghost? Maybe? Or a Trapper sick with rabies I can still picture The fog walker Lurking the earth The Fog Walker

I was wondering if you knew I was outside? And is the radio room down for the night? I need help from you To find my way back today To find my way back I’m being eaten up by evil horseflies Enough insects to block the sunlight Where’s my flagging tape? Must find my way back today Must find my way back In an hour it will be dark Oh dear I guess I’ll make a camp Right here I’ve been circling Amber Lake Just to find myself in the exact same place... Well I survived the night A bear passed right by OMG what’s that sound? It’s rotorcraft, right? I love you Petitot! You got me back alive today And I’ll just stay put now

June 01:50
Heard a human voice but no ones around This area is void of all sound Except buzzing bugs trapped in the windy howl Cupola creaks and a distant growl Can’t shake the feeling I’ve been here before When I hear that strange midnight knock on my door I’m a watchtower sentinel View a sea of green turn skeletal I look out onto the open ground Will the fire cut through or take the long way around? It was June or July on this boreal floor I buried the peak of my permanent pour
5.
False Summit 00:41
I’m climbing, climbing down Heading home Fires aren’t burning now it’s getting cold We’re closing, closing, closed Going home Which way that is well I am sure I don’t know
6.
Tiara Peak 01:57
The idea was to stay Here for only one day But it’s grown on you The hum’s softer with this view Well plans fall through So don’t make them today I’ll just follow you Because we’re going the same way So just leave it up to chance Leave all notions of romance And here on this mountain slate We’ll learn to appreciate That plans fall through So don’t make them today I’ll just follow you Because we’re going the same way Tiara Peak If I make it I’ll stay
