Weed Whacker Blues
02:28
|
|||
Getting the lawn done
Before the big boss comes
I'm trying to weave this trimmer line
But now I'm running out of time
I said my weed whackers not right
It never starts for me at night
And my excuses won't go far
And now I'm wondering how will I keep my job if it's not right?
My yard is not a pretty sight
The grass is climbing up my wall
Man it sure looks tall
So now I'm feeling small
Got a weed whacker curse
For me these things act the worst
They never start for me right
Well this ride on is a cinch
But hey I'm still in a pinch
Because my lawn mower is dead
And now my face is turning red
What can I do? I just shrug
It's the worst hour for bugs
I can't chop with my net on
Well now where have my goggles gone?
I took them off when they got fogged trying to see this trimmer line
They never work for me right
It feels like there's no hope in sight
I got a weed whacker curse
Will someone call me a hearse?
Alright let's not blow a fuse
You just got the weed whacker blues
To tell you the truth
You got the weed whacker blues
To tell you the truth

Service Day
02:56
|
|||
It's a perfect way to break this habit of
Talking to my self until I tune my self out
I broke my last mirror and there's no computers in sight
So I'm starting to forget what people look like
Good thing it's my service day
They're on the way!
Hell yeah it's my service day
They're on the way!
I'm feeling a couple pants sizes lighter
I'm looking like Christian Bale in the Machinist or the Fighter
So a couple of beers and a steak will go down fine
I'm decorating my black spruce like it's Christmas time
Because it's my service day
They're on the way!
Yeah it's my service today
They're on the way!
On the radio my order had to be spelled out
I stumbled on Quinoa, Worcestershire and Sauerkraut
I hope I remembered to order all the right supplies
As I stare waiting watching the sky hanging out with the flies
Because it's my service day
They're on the way!
Yeah it's my service today
They're on the way!
Because it's my service day
They're on the way!
Yeah it's my service today
They're on the way!

Propane Fridge Blues
02:28
|
|||
Refrigerator, refrigerator give me a cold drift
And as a gift I won't hurl you off of the cliff
Refrigerator, you are starting to smell like rotting meat in the heat
Be kind leave something I can eat
I hung my food on an icy branch
But the squirrels chewed through before I got a chance
I phoned Sugarloaf for Lookout support
He's never had problems of this sort
The propane line feels fairly warm
The pilot light is on but the exhaust is torn
I'm starting to feel forlorn
Refrigerator, refrigerator it seems that you're broke
So am I, but at least one of us is trying
Refrigerator, refrigerator it seems that your end is nigh
Sorry guy, but you can choose how you die
I just had my first service
But now I'm getting real nervous
The ice cream is fast melting
The tomatoes are good only for pelting
I solidified an alliance
To take out this damn appliance
Now Kristen is on a new mission
To land solar power in my kitchen!
(Two weeks later...)
I got my new solar fridge
It looks damn fine on this ridge
And we will be happy, together

No Rain
01:36
|
|||
I watched a rain cloud
Hit all of the other towers
It just passed right by me
Flew away like a coward
I know that it saw me
And it had the power
To give me enough water
So I can shower
And put me on low and end these
Stretches of eleven hours
Don't panic, it will come
And now the draught code
Is putting cracks in the road
If it gets any hotter
I'll smell like a squatter
I bathed in apple cider vinegar, I gotta
I hope that I won't smell
When they bring me my mail
You know that I won't bail
But I need rain not just hail
Don't panic, it will come

Groggy Morning
02:28
|
|||
This morning I don't feel like I'm able
To get my breakfast on the kitchen table
I've got a feeling that today is going to be rough
At least I can go outside in the buff
Not so tough
Put on your harness it matters
Don't fall asleep on the ladder
Because if you fall you'll splatter
You'll grate like a beet on the ladder
Nothing sadder
Oh no
Good morning morning, good morning dew
I wished I didn't quit my morning brew
Because that would certainly hit the spot
When I'm climbing at seven o'clock
Well I remember being a morning man
I'd wake up with three chores already in the can
I've got a list of things that I must do
Get these dishes washed
Prepare some food
Let's whack the weeds
Sweep up the rabbit poo
Burn the trash before a bear comes through
Put on your harness it matters
Don't fall asleep on the ladder
Because if you fall you'll splatter
You'll grate like a beet on the ladder
The caged ladder
Oh no
